This is an exhibition by the six artist members of the cooperative who work in the studios attached to the gallery. They vary greatly in outlook and ambition.
Painter and musician Diokno Pasilan hails from the Philippine island of Palawan. He has just finished a sequence of exhibitions in Hong Kong, Singapore, Manila and London. He is also the leader of the Gallery music group the Kurb Gong Band.
Painter and performer, Dr Martin Heine, exhibits regularly in Perth, Melbourne and Munich. He developed his unique mode of painting in response to a need to leave art entirely to its audience. He is the author of a series of spectacular art performances and will present a new energetic one at Mountford.
Dr Pippa Tandy is a literary scholar and teacher who has worked hard to achieve her unique vision of the natural and social landscape, partly inspired by the writing of J G Ballard. Tatjana Seserko on the other hand is a film and performance artist, deeply engaged with modern forms of suffering and survival.
Dan Spriggs works in the film industry. His sculpture features imaginative creatures and apparatus whose dissonant presence embodies various forms of human failure. Dr David Bromfield is a critic and curator who paints for fun.
This exhibition will celebrate the diversity of art as a way of life.
